However westernised we all seem, it is better to keep in contact with our roots and traditions once in a while. Last Fri, I attended a spiritual discourse with the people above. My gurujee( on the third picture) was the speaker. Even though, he looks simple, he has knowledge one can go in awe of. The rest are his disciples and the kind of brothers i never thought to have. All in all, the evening was a sucess with many responding. My evening was an eye opener and an educational one. After that day, even though i know that life will be back to normal, the event taught me to at least appreciate where I came from.

The season of giving is here once again!!!!!!Woohoooooo!!! Presents, Shopping and what not?!?! The tree is up in Taka and jingles heard everywhere!! I can't think straight. Haha yet i am here to write. I was reading an article on the today's new paper. It was about how people do not like their name to be recited in the short form. The writer gave an example of a particular Joesph who got offended when he was called Jo. I thought it was raher funny especially when it concerns me. In all the twenty -three years of my life, there are people who are still coming out with a shorter form for my name. May it be short, nasty humorous. The famous ones are, "Godzilla", "Cock" and "Coca Cola". Some guys just go over the extend of making it flamboyant by adding differnt song tunes and voice controls. At first, it was exasperating but now i am immune to this. After all people need to ammuse themselves. I am glad i am of help!
In truth, in my three group of friends i know, they all call me in different ways. One group call me Koki. Like the pocky chocolate biscuit. Another group calls me Kok affectionately with some add ons like kokopops and Koky. The last group are the only ones who call me Kokila. Sounds beautiful but like everything good comes with a bit of let down, they rhyme my name. Like Kokila and Oklah. These group even contemplate on which culture my name is from since i don't even know the meaning of my name. Hawaiian, jap and african are the possible outcomes so far....sigh... oh yah! At home they call me Kola.
I agree that my name is a mouthful and i expect people to call in shorter forms. Even my friend Letitia, whose got a pretty model name is called Loti, like the bread. My other friend Reena, who has got only two syllables has got nicknames like the elli and rat because of her petitie body structue. One think I noticed though, only females are given all the nicknames and mostly named by the guys. The guys might have one among themselves but they won't share it to the others or even if shared, the girls are just too nice to use that nickname. Either that, or the nickname is crude.
Whatever it is. I will like to believe that this shorter, funnier name callings depends on how open minded the person is and how much pun he or she is willing to tolerate. Also name calling is a form of art which potrats affection. Just that more affection is shown to me thats all. ;)

Two reasons why i put this picture, firsty beacuse i think the two guys are super hot and secondly because todays topic is about something relating to the plot of the movie.
Harlow all. Back to update again. So soon? I myself don't know the reason why. Probably it is about something which might interest the general population as well.
I was reading an article from the New York Times. It was on how gay marriages are not being allowed in the states. The article goes to the extent where some condervatives say that it is not proper to have inter sex marriages. The one question which came to my mind is "What is with them?" I mean, don't everyone get the right to choose their own marriage partner regardless of age, race and even gender? In what ways are they harming anyone?
Even here, many are looking at gays or lesbians weirdly, worse they are being laughed at! Other times these people are just being ostracized. Because of this very narrow minded people, many gays and lesbians do not want to reveal their own identity.
My group of friends consist of a few gays and lesbians. Personally, i feel that these are the most selfless people. They have more understanding and knowledge of the real human emotions. Somthing, many normal straight people do not possess. On a more communal basis, these group of people are extemely sporting and very very fun to hang out with. I never ever feel bored with them because their knowledge of current affairs are really good. i learn a lot from them.
So, for those who do not have gay, lesbian friends, I think that you are missing on one pleasant part. So try making friends with them. Even if you do not want to, please do not make puns.
So yeah, now that i got that part out of my heart, i can go take a peaceful sleep. I will be back on another topic to discuss. Your comments will be much appreciated.

Hey everyone. Take a look. Anyway Anyway, I came to blog with another story. Someone I know is having an affair. He has a wife and four children but he is still hanging out with other women. He is 50 and his children are all teenagers. The best part is all his four children know that he is having affairs! What the hell right? Majority of what he earns goes to his social life and he contributes little to his family. This resutled in his wife and eldest son starting to work. That is not the worst part. He still wants control of his family even when he has nothing much to give. He is hardly at home but he lays certain rules in the household to follow. If not, he will beat his wife. The others are all getting weary of this. The sons do not want to do anything about this because they do not want to get thier mom hurt. His wife does not want to divorce him because she does not want the society to bad mouth about her family.This issue has been going on for years. I feel that something has to be done to this in the form of his children. He has no shame now even talking about it. He is getting used to his family members knowing about this and getting more comfortable to what awfulness he is doing more and more. Sometimes the children struggles to get their school fees from him because he can get really nasty at times.I know this is a bit difficult to get your comments but leave a comment anyway if you feel like it. What you think the children should do? I think its time their father learnt a lesson. Sometimes it makes me wonder that people can get so selfish and not bother for what is thiers. What if in future I face the situation? What will I blamet on myself or the other half? This is something I ponder over all the time. I like to live life by not hurting anyone. That will add on to my Karma. Hola Bola Gola, howzee babzee!! yeah. did not post for long. So decided to since i have some free time which is not possible to get nowadays considering all the shit i am going through right now and secondly cause my friend is here watching me type it! So a LOUD shoutout to LOTI!!!!!
Oh oh talking about Loti right, she is my friend like for ages. We are like Loti & Koki, flick & flac and blah blah , lets not get into anything crappy!!!
On a more serious note, Loti is dating a 44 year old man!!! Bizzarious right??? She is 23. Man oh man, you do the maths. I think its strange. you think, you think? Apparently, there are some people out there who think its a normal thing to do. Its like at this age, you are old enough to make your own decisions. Oh ,oh, the best part is right? He is a pilot and bloody rich!!! At least i think so!! He gets her all those expensive stuffs. Actually right? On second thought, its not a bad thing to do, to have a sugar daddy.
That day my group of friends and I met him ( the sugar daddy). He did not look his age man! He looked 32. He sounded 25. All my other friends were dumb struck. They looked amazed, like WOAH! I guess i was the only one who could grasp the situation faster than all of them so i made a fool of myself by making unusual comments. Whats new!! sigh.....
So peeps. i am having confused thoughts about her dating an older man. To her it seems ok, but some of my friends do not support the idea. Firstly because of the image Loti potrays when it concerns a partner and secondly because we do not want our mutual friends to gossip about it. What is important is that she is happy and trust me she is. He is just a companion. Who would not want a friend with a good sense of humour despite the age? What you all think? i need your views on it. Loti is a good friend . I do not want her to be hurt in any ways. So please post your comments and it will be given much thought. Thankzee!
A few words on the picutre, the plot is similar to Loti's situation. It is a beautiful, sad, and romatic movie. So watch it if you can. Not forcing because i did not watch it yet and those were the analysis by Loti.

Hello Peeps. See la, I took such a LOOOOOOOOOONG time to do the whole blog. Tech savvy is not what I am man!!! Just posted the blog so that i can officially open it. Yaaay!!! Finally, with the help of my two friends, It is all ready and done. So thanks to them. I promise to write a better blog in the future. This is rather short. Oh for those who are new to my blog pattern right, I promise not to write my daily life story which is going to bore you to tears and obviously you are not going to come back. I will think along the lines of my interest and what intrigues me and stuffs close to my heart. Of course it will be on topics which might interest the general group as well.
